Nursery 2017 - 2018

Mr Roberts

Miss Welby

Welcome to Nursery.

Hello and welcome to our Nursery. This year we have a class of 16 children, with 9 girls and 7 boys.

How can you help?

You could help your child by sharing a wide range of books with them and asking them about their day. You and your child could join your local library where they can choose their own books.

Sharing traditional stories with your child would benefit them with the language used, various settings and the problems that the main character faces and solves.

Visits to local wildlife areas, parks, woods, lakes etc and encouraging your child to look, listen and explore the world around them.

Please work on numbers with your child to count up to ten different items, recognise all numbers to ten and put mixed up numbers back into the correct order, counting forwards and backwards. When your child is confident with this then please work from 0 to 15 and 0 to 20

Please continue to encourage your child to write wherever and whenever you can from their name, to creating their own lists when going shopping, cards, postcards and letters etc.

Please can we ask that your child has a spare set of clothes in school at all times and that all of your children’s clothes are clearly labelled.

If your child is staying for lunch and you aren't entitled to free school meals then you need to pay £10 per week. Please put this money in a clearly labelled envelope with your child's name and Nursery written on the front.

Thank you for your continued support.
